I am a geologist and planetary scientist interested in mineral exploration (on any planet) and the relationship between geology, mineralogy and life.

These pages contain information about my research interests, publications, and teaching at the University of Hong Kong where I am an associate professor in the department of Earth Sciences and Deputy Director of the Laboratory for Space Research.

Prior to moving to Hong Kong, I was a Research Leader at the Natural History Museum in London, United Kingdom where I lived for six great years.

After leaving the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in 2007, I spent nearly 4 years working with the Institut d'Astrophysique Spatiale at the Universit√© de Paris - Sud.

I carried out my graduate studies at Arizona State University between 2000 and 2005, working with Drs. Tom Sharp, Phil Christensen, and Stephen Reynolds.
